The medical schools of Kyushu University and the University of Hong Kong signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on the exchange of academic knowledge. The objective is to strengthen their ties for R&D, clinical testing, and training in advanced fields. The agreement was proposed to commemorate Chinese revolutionary Sun Yat-sen, a doctor who graduated from the forerunner of The University of Hong Kong, and who also visited the forerunner of Kyushu University for lectures in 1913 while he was living in asylum in this country.
