New Smartphone App Shares Excitement of Flying Fish

October is the fishery season of flying fish. The fish, also known as Kyushu-ago, is one of the classic sea ingredients in Kyushu. Its behavior of jumping out of water is thought to result in lean meat with the clear and elegant flavor of ago-dashi (flying fish soup stock.) To celebrate the tradition of this local specialty, the Ago Festival takes place every year in October. Although the event was canceled for 2020 due to the impact of the new coronavirus spread, an official smartphone game to experience virtually the gliding action of flying fish has been released. See a record-setting glide of six hundred meters in a single leap! https://600m.jp/
