New Station Boosts Business in Fukuoka’s Canal City

With the recent extension of the Nanakuma Line, Kushida Shrine-Mae Station has emerged as the sole new station in the expanded area. The nearby commercial complex, Canal City Hakata, which is within a three-minute walk from the station, has already seen an influx of shoppers arriving via the Nanakuma Line. The introduction of Kushida Shrine-Mae Station between Tenjin-Minami Station and Hakata Station is expected to boost economic activity in the surrounding area. To celebrate, over 20 stores within Canal City Hakata have launched limited-time sales from March 27th to April 9th. Events related to the opening of “Hakata Senbero & Senmero” will also be held in the surrounding facilities. (Mar. 27 ~ Apr. 9) Source: NHK
