New Vehicle Registrations Fall for Sixth Straight Year


The Fukuoka Prefecture Automobile Dealers Association has compiled a report for new vehicle registrations in the seven Kyushu prefectures for FY 2008 that shows registrations fell 14.2% from the previous year. This is the sixth consecutive decline for new car registrations, and the largest percentage since FY 2000. By prefecture, Fukuoka Prefecture’s decline was the largest at 15.1%, while Nagasaki’s was the smallest at 12.1%.
