The Fukuoka branch of Teikoku Databank has released its ranking of Kyushu and Okinawa Prefecture-based companies operating restaurants by revenue for 2009. Sales revenue for the top 50 ranked companies totaled 393.351 billion yen, a year-on-year decline of 2.0%. This is the second consecutive annual decline, and it is attributed to the continuing slump of personal consumption and deflationary tendencies in the economy.
