Saibu Gas of Fukuoka filed a notification with the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry that it planned to reduce rates on October 1. It is the utility’s first rate adjustment since March 2008. The amount of the reduction has yet to be announced, but the company said it would be “small”.
