Four individuals in their 40s, all unemployed and residents of Chikushino City and Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, have been apprehended on suspicions of violating the Cannabis Control Act by cultivating marijuana plants in apartment units. The seized marijuana plants had potent hallucinogenic flowers, leading the Narcotics Control Department of the Kyushu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare and other authorities to investigate further into the cultivation and distribution practices of these suspects.
According to the Narcotics Control Department and the police, one man was suspected of cultivating 64 cannabis plants in an apartment in Dazaifu City last May, while the other was suspected of growing 12 plants in a room in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City, both allegedly for profit-making purposes.
