Vlogger Reports on Fukuoka Neo Yatai
An online video featuring new-style yatai stalls in Fukuoka was recently posted on Tabinohi, a web platform featuring “girl tourism” vlogs. The clip was posted by a Fukuokan vlogger, Nonoko, who explores four “neo yatai” in the city: Area Okuni, Megane Coffee & Spirits, Telas & Mico, and Chez Rémy. From the viewpoint of a young woman, the video uniquely depicts modern aspects of yatai culture as well as traditional coziness and warmth that are still alive at those shops. Watch video
