Kamakiri Coffee, a purveyor of fine coffee and artisanal bread, recently opened in Yakuin. Owner Douglas Weber, a former Apple engineer, also makes high-end coffee grinders and other accessories. His design sense, evident in the stylish and functional machines, yield powerful yet refined cups of coffee. A machine measures with precision the beans for each cup which are then stored in single containers to prevent oxidation. The Kamakiri standard is an adaptation of Cortado, an espresso with just a splash of warm milk. Try their freshly baked sourdough bread made with Itoshima flour too. Yummy!
