Run by Naoko Sakanashi, a trained Japanese chef, and her husband Kazunao, Vegesara Shokudo specializes in healthy dishes made from homegrown rice and vegetables and pesticide-free produce from trustworthy greengrocers. The trademark set meals, which change weekly, are packed with seasonal veggies. Choose the A set, which contains no eggs, dairy or meat, or the B set, which comes with free-range Akadori chicken or fish. Just want a quick nibble? Try the rice ball set, which comes with miso soup, or one of their raw cakes that are plant-based and have no carbs.
